Today, Silicon Valley Defense Group (SVDG), a nonprofit focused on national security-related innovation, announced its ranking of the top 100 venture-backed defense and dual-use technology startups. It also identified IQT as the most active investor in the field for the second year in a row, with a presence in the capital of 35 of the companies in its ranking — a total larger than that of the next two most active investors combined.
IQT has delivered significant mission impact for more than a quarter century by building a unique—and uniquely powerful—not-for-profit global investment platform that accelerates the introduction of groundbreaking technologies to enhance the national security and prosperity of America and its allies. We call our mission “Global Security Investing.” As well as encompassing defense-focused startups and harnessing existing and over-the-horizon commercial technologies to sustain military and intelligence overmatch against adversaries, Global Security Investing emphasizes the importance of international reach and collaboration in a world where innovative venture-backed startups can now be found everywhere.
"We’re honored to again be recognized as the leader in the vital mission of Global Security Investing. Since we were founded in 1999, we’ve pioneered investment in innovative startup technologies that help secure America and its allies—and we fully intend to lead this mission for the next quarter century and beyond.” - Steve Bowsher, CEO of IQT
