Technology Development Agreement to focus on the NerVve Visual Search Solution

April 2, 2014

NerVve Technologies (NerVve), a company that is changing the way that video and imagery is exploited for intelligence, insight, and action, today announced a strategic investment and technology development agreement withIn-Q-Tel (IQT), the independent strategic investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the missions of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC).As part of the agreement, NervVe will work to enhance its robust visual search platform, NerVve Visual Search Solution (NVSS), which extracts relevant information from raw pixel data in video and imagery. NerVve's advanced technology currently allows users to create search queries using image examples to mine tremendous volumes of video and imagery for any object, sign, or pattern at extreme speeds.

"We are excited about our partnership with IQT as it significantly accelerates our capability to deliver increasingly sophisticated intelligence and insights from video and imagery. Whether your goal is scouring video for threats, measuring brand exposure, or advertisement targeting, NerVve gets you to the pertinent information faster. This partnership will significantly enhance our ability to help our customers be more effective at reviewing their video and imagery," said Thomas Slowe, CEO and Co-Founder of NerVve.

"NerVve's product, NVSS, is easy to use and reviews video and imagery at very high speeds in order to identify specific events or measure prevalent trends," said Robert Ames, Senior Vice President of IQT's Advanced Analytics and Infrastructure practice. "The company's innovative approach addresses important requirements in the government market and we're pleased to help facilitate its continued development."

Robert Robey, Chief Revenue Officer of NerVve, added, "Understanding the challenges of parsing through ever growing volumes of video and imagery data, NerVve created a product capable of automatically reviewing video with exceptional speed. Traditional approaches to this problem haven't been fast enough, accurate enough, or easy to use. The partnership with IQT will facilitate further enhancement to make it easier to discover, visualize, and understand mission-critical video and imagery data."

About NerVve

Headquartered in Buffalo, NY with a presence in Northern Virginia, NerVve is a privately funded organization of extremely focused engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs and sales professionals that can't wait to get to work each morning.

NerVve Technologies' NVSS was developed to address the core needs of organizations seeking to exploit massive amounts of unstructured data (video, images and other two dimensional raster data). In the era of big data, human review of unstructured data is simply insufficient due to volume. NerVve utilizes NVSS to search either live or forensically each frame in video, images, or tiled imagery to detect anything the user wants to find at extreme speeds, enabling automatic extraction and alerts of the most relevant or interesting items even for large volumes of data.

NerVve serves customers in media and entertainment, advertising, and social media, in addition to the U.S. Government. For more information visit us at: www.NerVveTechnologies.com.
